computer industry veteran with 25 years of experience, eRichards’
Director of eCommerce, and an internationally recognized expert in eBusiness
systems, Dan Coutu has provided valuable solutions to thorny problems
for hundreds of clients.
Mr. Coutu’s skills and demeanor are particularly well suited to
capturing stakeholder requirements and then designing and delivering computing
architectures that satisfy these requirements, whether the solutions are
packages or bespoke applications.
He has led teams using a wide variety of technologies to deploy winning
eCommerce, content management, other eBusiness, and database driven web-based
business systems. Mr. Coutu has architected and coded cost-effective solutions
in complex business/computing environments by close collaboration with
all levels of client personnel. He brings a high level view of both the
technical and business requirements and can deliver innovative results
in a timely fashion to highly satisfied clients.
One among his numerous successful engagements was the implementation
of a customer relationship management (CRM) system based on integration
of SalesForce.com with a legacy corporate database. On this project Mr.
Coutu architected the complete solution and implemented the integration
code necessary to cross-connect the systems.
As the Chief Technology Officer of iCOMS, an eCommerce services company,
Mr. Coutu’s leadership and technical strength established the company
as the world's experts on the Open Market Transact eCommerce product.
In his capacity as CTO, Mr. Coutu worked on hundreds of eCommerce and
CRM projects, many times as the lead. iCOMS' clients included Sony Style,
Bank of Boston, Houghton-Mifflin, Random House, MyFamily.com, and Lycos.
