Staffing for Success Dealing with the economic climate
Presently
our economy is an example of how the external environment can have both
positive and negative impacts on business operations; in particular the
staffing process. In this downturn, many companies are
experiencing budget constraints resulting in the downsizing of their
permanent employees. The economic climate in
all probability will continue well into '09 and is causing
uncertainty for both companies and job seekers alike. However,
what we at eRichards are seeing, is that the need for temporary and
contract positions has increased. Also known as "contingent
staffing", more companies are looking to fill temporary positions
through this time of uncertainty. As the economy begins to
strengthen again, the potential for the temporary employees to be
converted to permanent staff will once again increase.
Temporary
staffing allows the employer to assess if the worker is a good "fit"
for the company while simultaneously offering the employee the
opportunity to determine if this is the right position and culture for
them.
Finding
the right person for a job is always a challenging task. Here at
eRichards, we pride ourselves in working diligently within our network
and in our strong out of the box thinking to provide qualified talent
with solid experiences, references, and backgrounds to our
clients. With many years of experience in consulting and staff
augmentation, eRichards is a reliable and trustworthy partner, whether
you are looking for permanent, temporary, or temp to permanent talent.
Our new engineering and construction project management division is
successfully working with many utility firms in the Northeast. By
combining our industry knowledge, finely tuned network and technology
we are able to successfully access and manage today's top talent.

Holiday Health and Safety Tips
Taking care of you and yours
The
holidays are a time of celebration, gratitude, and reflection. It
can also be hectic and a bit stressful. So take time out to breath,
exercise and just clear your mind. Take a look at the following tips:
Wash your hands often. Avoid getting and spreading germs by washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Stay warm. In cold weather, stay dry and dress warmly in layers of loose-fitting, tightly woven clothing.
Manage stress. Balance home, work, and exercise - remembering to breath, laugh and smile!
Travel safely. Whether you are traveling far away or locally be sure to wear your seat belt and have a designated driver.
Eat, drink, and be merry.
Moderation is key in enjoying all holiday food, treats and libations.
Staying active for at least three hours a week (half hour per
day) will keep you happy and healthy. And did I mention a designated
driver!
