Greetings!
Well,
what a week last week was. I hope this note finds you getting a handle
on all that is happening and keeping a perspective that works for you.
I am reminded of the opening line of the Serenity Prayer - God grant me
the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change
the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Here's to acceptance, courage and wisdom,

Letting Go What you need to know relieve stress under any time constraint...
Life
happens. There is nothing we can
do to prevent it. As last week proves - so when the alarm
clock doesn't go off or the piles of projects is piling up or you're
concerned about the economic future of our country or your portfolio --
there are some things you can do to relax, rejuvenate, and
unwind. A variety of simple stress relievers will calm you and
they can be done with time allowances from minutes to hours.
Breathe - Within minutes, you can relax. Just do it - even close your
eyes if you can and take in a long slow breath and slowly let it out.
Feel your chest fill with air and feel it deflate - do this 3 times and
you feel better - I promise. Every time the stress kicks up - do it
again, inhale/ exhale and just stop, whatever you are doing can wait a
few minutes - really it can.
Pick up - sometimes simple anxieties can be helped by picking up around
us. Unmade beds, a sink full of dishes, messy countertops, desks
are all stressful encounters of unfinished business. Picking up
around you will provide an energy
boost. So if the office has you frazzled
make sure to file or organize the papers on your desk. In 20 to 30
minutes, you might have a different perspective.
Exercise - take an hour of your day and put yourself first. Maybe it is
on your lunch hour or after work at the gym or with a tape at
home. Go for a walk take the dog, go with a friend you will get laughs
and exercise at the same time, sweat it at the gym, all research proves
conclusively that exercise will get us feeling better, calmer, more
positive.
Unplug
- for a weekend.
Technology is a wonderful means of making life easier, but it can also
cause a lot of stress. Being constantly "plugged
in" and always in contact with others through cell phones, PDAs,
computers and
TV can be overwhelming. It is an insidious way of keeping us
involved. Decide to unplug, read a good book or take a nap - it's free
and you'll feel rested when you awaken.
Lastly, smile, it really makes a difference.

Green Technology Implementing and Creating New Strategy
"Green
Technology" is a relatively new field but the hope is that it will bring
innovation and change to our daily lives much like information technology has
over the past two decades. Sustainability
is the concept that we can meet our present needs as a society without
compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. There are a number of information tools that
are assigned to "Green Technology" and that are actually the developments of
this rapidly growing field.
"Green
Technology' is the result of much thought and effort. Some of the
ideas are to implement this technology
into the design processes of products. In
particular, a new design process called "cradle to cradle design cycle"
wherein companies manufacture
products that can be fully reclaimed or reused at the end of their life
cycle. One of the most important pieces of green technology
is innovation. Innovation, knowledge, and
creativity are used in developing alternatives to technologies that
previously
were damaging to health and/or the environment. Lastly, viability
is an important aspect in creating
a center of economic activity that's focus is on technology and
products that
benefit the environment. Through the "green
technology" focus, companies are beginning to implement and create new
strategies and new careers that truly promote protecting and caring for
the
future of ourselves and of those to come.
